This Acura NSX wears the paint of its ancestor from 1993

Acura will soon arrive at the Monterey Car Week with a hybrid NSX coupe painted a historical shade of Indy Yellow Pearl. The color will become available for purchase for the entire 2020 NSX range.

The Indy Yellow Pearl tint is virtually identical to the Spa Yellow hue that about 20% of all first-generation (1993–2003) sports cars shipped in.

The NSX is currently going through its second generation. The assembly is performed manually at the company’s factory in Marysville, Ohio, USA. Powering the modern Acura NSX is a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine assisted by a trio of electric motors. The power amounts to 581 hp (433 kW), and the torque is a healthy 650 Nm (480 pound-feet). A proprietary nine-speed dual-clutch transmission is used to send the power to the wheels, accelerating the coupe from zero to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and up to the maximum 309 km/h (192 mph).

The NSX series went through a slight facelift last year, gaining a number steering improvements, better roll stabilizers, and tweaks in the drivetrain firmware.

In the United States, the MSRP is $157,000.
