The second NSX generation is heading towards retirement, and Acura will be showing us its final ‘Type S’ edition on August 12. In the meantime, here’s one last teaser vid.
The clip is eight seconds long and shows a duo of the Acura NSX Type S on a racetrack. It is the first time the front fascia can be seen, albeit only for a brief moment. Earlier teasers focused on the rear end, the sides, the engine bay lid and the limited edition plaque (production run limited to 350 units).
Acura said earlier that the NSX Type S would be ‘faster than ever’ without explaining what it could mean in practical terms. As such, we expect either more engine horsepower or better acceleration dynamics thanks to drivetrain tweaks. The current version has 580 PS (572 hp / 427 kW) at its disposal.
