The Japanese car giant Honda plans to release the its latest NSX convertible supercar later this year. The two-door performance vehicle will enter the U.S. retail market under the sub-brand name of Acura. It will be driven by the same engine as its coupe counterpart.
The latest Honda/Acura NSX vehicle generation comes equipped with a 3.5-liter turbo V6 engine coupled with three electric motors for 573 hp total output. It can accelerate 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in three seconds.
The manufacturer is currently thinking over the market viability of a high-end Honda/Acura NSX Type R. If such a car gets released, it is going to feature a number of structural modifications for improved drivetrain performance.
