Acura NSX gets facelift, more standard features

Car manufacturer Acura has launched sales of its facelifted NSX hybrid supercar series. The brand’s top-spec vehicle received additional equipment as well as an aesthetic overhaul.

The radiator grille of the car now has a different kind of framing with glossy highlights. More decorative body kit parts are now available, including a carbon-fiber spoiler.

The vehicle can now be ordered in pearlescent orange color, with the brake supports painted to match.

Acura added another entry to the list of available interior finishes (black chamois / light-blue leather). Perhaps more importantly, aluminum pedal pads, a hi-end multimedia system, GPS navigation, and power seats – previously only available separately – now all ship in base.

From the technical point of view, the car received various steering and anti-roll bar adjustments along with a firmware update for the engine and suspension.

The car still has the same hybrid drivetrain consisting of a turbocharged gasoline engine and three electric motors, capable of max. 575 hp (430 kW). It can accelerate 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.6 seconds.

The refreshed Acura series sells for U.S. $157,000, which is $1,500 above the previous one.
