Acura RSX gets turned into a dual-engine car

A car enthusiast named Ryan Standke posted a video on YouTube ten months ago showing off his custom 2002 Acura RSX hatchback. So what’s the big deal? Haven’t we had enough amateur tuning projects out there already?

Well, not quite – and definitely not this time around. The guy actually managed to persuade his sporty ride to use two engines at once!

To achieve this, he removed the stock motor and replaced it with two 5.3-liter LS4 V8 engines – one per axle. Now that’s something we’d call all-wheel drive!

According to Standke, his car should eventually be capable of churning out some 1,700-1,750 horsepower (1,270 – 1,305 kW). But the project still isn’t complete, and the rear engine is the only one working right now.

Hit ‘Play’ if you want to see how one of the craziest custom builds of all time works. Hey, we know you do.
