These photos showing the exterior of the upcoming Alfa Romeo GTV hybrid supercar have recently appeared online. The sporty coupe will not go on sale until 2022.
You might say that the Alfa Romeo GTV is kind of a two-door version of the Giulia sedan/saloon. Both share the same platform, but sport certain design differences.
Rumor has it that the GTV Coupe will ship with a hybrid powertrain consisting of the 2.9-liter turbo V6 Quadrifoglio engine and an electric motor. Its performance will exceed 600 horsepower (450 kilowatts).
We first learned that Alfa Romeo was going to resurrect the GTV series last year. It was also last year that the company scheduled the sales start for 2022. It also mentioned that the four-seat hybrid sports car would have “perfect axle load distribution”.
Aside from the GTV, the Italian manufacturer will be releasing a compact SUV based on the Tonale Concept it showed us at the latest Geneva show. It also plans to update its 8C Competizione sports car to the next generation.\
