Video: Alfa Romeo teases the V6 TT rumble of the 33 Stradale

The limited-run Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, which was announced almost a year ago, is getting close to its market debut. The Italian company has now recorded its engine soundtrack and superimposed it against some classical music in a short video.

With the supercar still under wraps and not even previewed to the company’s V.I.P. clientele, this is the first official opportunity to hear what its twin-turbocharged V6 sounds like.

The engine resides behind the seats and uses the same 2.9-liter six-cylinder block as the Giulia sedan and the Stelvio Quadrifoglio crossover. The Giulia GTA and GTAm flagship versions manage to get as much as 540 PS (533 hp / 397 kW) out of it. The new 33 Stradale, however, ups the ante with the manufacturer-promised “620+ horsepower” (that’s 456+ kilowatts).

An eight-speed dual-clutch transmission carries the torque to the rear wheels through a limited-slip differential. The supercar reaches 100 km/h (62 mph) from standstill in less than 3 seconds and can exceed 333 km/h (207 mph) in a straight line.
Aside from this ICE version, the 33 Stradale will be available in EV form, packing 750 PS (740 hp / 552 kW) and 450 km (280 miles) of driving range. Alfa Romeo says its dynamic numbers will be very similar to the EV. The production of these two variants will be capped at just 33 total units, all sold out long ago.

It is still unknown when the first deliveries will start. What we do know is that the company hires the famous coachbuilder Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera to do the customization before shipping.
