Alfa Romeo has unveiled the 4C Spider 33 Stradale Tributo, a special edition of the iconic roadster inspired by the 33 Stradale model. The car will leave the North American market soon.
The original 33 Stradale was a mid-engine/RWD roadster based on the Tipo 33 racer. Only 18 units had been produced in 1967–1969. Each weighed only 570 kilos (1,256 lbs) and packed a two-liter V8 engine good for 230 PS (227 hp / 169 kW) and 206 Nm (152 lb-ft) of torque. Hitting 100 km/h (62 miles per hour) was a matter of 5.5 seconds, while the maximum attainable speed was 260 km/h (161 miles per hour).
The new 4C Spider 33 Stradale sports a tricolor Rosso Villa d’Este livery, wheels finished in grey and gold sized 18” front and 19” rear, and a cabin wrapped in Dinamica suede. Each example has a plaque with its chassis number, and standard features include an Akrapovic exhaust system, tweaked suspension, bi-Xenon headlights, and a carbon fiber roll bar behind the seats.
Powering the farewell series is a 1.8-liter turbocharged engine rated at 240 PS (237 hp / 176 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque, which pairs up with a six-speed Alfa TCT gearbox. Getting to 60 mph is a matter of 4.1 seconds, and the top speed lies at 250 km/h (155 mph).
A total of 33 vehicles will roll off the lines priced from U.S. $79,995.
