Alfa Romeo will be unveiling its next supercar, possibly named 6C, on August 30, but Quattroruote claims that insiders have already posted its drivetrain specs online. According to these, the car will get a 3.0-liter V6 and a single electric motor for a total exceeding 800 PS (789 hp / 588 kW).
The alleged 6C is expected to be running on the same underpinnings as the Maserati MC20. The same model will reportedly share its engine, although Alfa Romeo will complement it with an electric motor. The MC20 gets 630 PS (621 hp / 463 kW) out of its turbocharged V6. The 6C may also debut as a battery-electric EV, in addition to the main hybrid version.
The insider is also claiming that buying the supercar is no longer an option. Only several dozens will be made, and those have already been sold via pre-orders.
In terms of appearance, the car will look largely authentic but partially inspired by the iconic Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, the anonymous source claims. You will find that model in the rest of the gallery and the video below.
