The original Alfa Romeo Disco Volante came out in the 1950s and quickly became an icon, ultimately convincing Carrozzeria Touring to revive it based on the modern Alfa Romeo 8C a few years ago. The series included coupes and roadsters, the last of which is now up for grabs.
Every replica boasts a body painstakingly crafted by hand using carbon fiber and aluminum parts. Each car took six months, or 4,000 workhours, to build.
The example on sale is a red Spyder with its interior draped in black leather and Alcantara. Powering the ride is a Ferrari V8 with 4.7 liters of displacement, 450 PS (444 hp / 331 kW) and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft) of torque.
The car is barely used with 3,530 kilometers (2,193 miles) under the belt and comes with the full bundle of original documentation, a matching set of Alfa Romeo luggage bags, and an OEM cover.
The asking price remains unannounced, which is in line with the carmaker’s policy: neither the 8C Coupe nor the 8C Roadster Disco Volante conversions had a publicly available price tag. The company claimed both times that the entire batch had been sold out prior to reveal, anyway.
