A 2010 Alfa Romeo 8C Spider with 828 km (515 miles) under its belt will go on sale in Munich, Germany next month. The rare color combo between the exterior, the cabin trim and the soft top is likely to ramp up the selling price, which has not been announced.
The concept version of the 8C Coupe debuted in 2003, the sales began in 2007, and the Spider version (see video) emerged a year later. Luca de Meo, the then-CEO of Alfa Romeo, called it ‘probably the most beautiful spider car in the world.’
Ferrari and Maserati assisted the company with designing a new 4.7-liter naturally aspirated V8 for the car. The rear wheels get hit with 450 PS (444 hp / 331 kW) and 470 Nm (347 lb-ft) of torque, letting the car reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.5 seconds and ultimately climb as high as 290 km/h (180 mph).
Only 500 Spider units were produced. This specific example boasts a combination of a red soft top with a black and red cabin and a Blue Celeste exterior, which the seller claims is unique.
Whoever outbids the competition for this exotic will be receiving a package of authenticity certificates, souvenirs from the manufacturer and a car-matching travel bag set.
