Alfa Romeo will take your money for a car it still hasn’t decided whether to produce or not

Alfa Romeo is planning on launching a new supercar into production, likely with the traditional 8C badge on, but Stellantis has yet to greenlight the project. In the meantime, anyone interested can already leave a deposit, Autocar reports.

Commenting on the news, Alfa Romeo CEO said he would be making an important statement about this upcoming model in March 2023.

In all likelihood, the novelty will either be an ICE car or a hybrid, but not an EV. The details remain to be announced.

Alfa Romeo’s latest supercar right now is the gorgeous 8C Competizione, which was produced in 2007 through 2010 (see the gallery and the video). Only 500 units were made between Coupe and Spider variants.
