Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio gets squeezed for 670 hp

As you may remember, BR Performance was the first tuner on the scene to boost the 2.9-liter V6 of the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio. In January 2017, the company took the engine from its stock 460 hp (343 kW) and 630 Nm (465 lbft) of torque – we’re talking actual power measured at the wheels here – to some impressive 521 hp (389 kW) and 723 Nm (533 lbft). Roughly a month later, Pogea Racing has managed to raise the bar to 612 hp (456 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lbft). You’d think that would be the limit; apparently not.

The mcchip-dkr team took things a step further when they launched their Stage 3 upgrade for the renowned Italian sports car. The package includes a new, custom-built turbocharger, a number of modifications in the intake, exhaust and cooling systems, and an extensive ECU remap.

As a result, the output of the car’s engine ascends to the glorious 670 hp (500 kW) and 804 Nm (593 lbft) of torque. Note that the AR Julia normally falls under the same performance category as the BMW M3 and Mercedes C63 AMG. The upgrade carries it over into an entire new league dominated by the Ferrari 488 GTB.

The tuner didn’t make the price of the new power kit publicly available.
