Alfa Romeo will introduce special versions of its Giulia Quadrifoglio sedan and Stelvio Quadrifoglio SUV at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show coming up next month. The so-called Alfa Romeo Racing series will be released to celebrate the luxury car marque’s comeback into the Formula 1 championship.
Both cars will take advantage of Sparco carbon-fiber seats embroidered with contrast-rich stitching, a unique steering wheel wrapped in leather and Alcantara, a Mopar gear stick with carbon inserts, a lightweight composite roof, custom-designed wheels 19 (Giulia QV) and 20 (Stelvio QV) inches in diameter, and carbon-ceramic performance brakes.
All cars will don the same colors as the 2019 Alfa Romeo C38 racecar and pack an Akrapovič titanium-alloy exhaust system with a powerful soundtrack of its own.
The base equipment for both the sedan and the SUV will include adaptive cruise control, a Harman Kardon audio system, a hi-end multimedia center with a large touchscreen display, adjustable suspension, and a torque vectoring control system.
Both the Alfa Romeo Stelvio and the Giulia Quadrifoglio will ship with the old 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 engine rated at 510 hp (380 kW) and paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The SUV needs 3.8 seconds to sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph), while the sedan takes 0.1s longer.
