Italian coachbuilder Zagato has shared the first video teaser previewing a new car. Nothing is known about the model except the name, which goes “Alfa Romeo Giulia SWB Zagato”. CarBuzz believes it could be an exclusive stylistic makeover of the original Giulia sedan.
The teaser shows an LED bracket that could be the taillight group. Aside from it, Zagato will likely invoke retro themes in the project to reflect on its past collaborations with Alfa Romeo.
Even though the original Giulia (shown in the rest of the gallery below) is a sedan, the abbreviation SWB puts us in the mind of a short-wheelbase coupe conversion. Zagato has been known for such transformations in the past. The powertrain, on the contrary, should remain untouched. The flagship Quadrifoglio spec utilizes a 2.9-liter V6 with 540 PS (533 hp / 397 kW) at the crank.
The premiere date remains to be announced.
