Alfa Romeo has updated its Giulia Quadrifoglio and Stelvio Quadrifoglio models to celebrate a whole century since the Italian moniker meaning ‘four-leaf clover’ was first introduced. Only 100 sedans and just as many SUVs will be made.
The main thing differentiating the special edition from stock comes in the form of golden elements – brake calipers, commemorative plaques and stitching on black leather. Both models are also awash in all kinds of carbon-fiber trims found outside and inside the cabin and come with their own wheel design – 19-inch one for the sedan and 21-inch one for the SUV.
The 2.9-liter V6 under the hood gets a slight bump from its original 510 to 520 metric horsepower (513 hp / 382 kW). Elsewhere, both vehicles get a limited-slip differential like the one implemented in the extreme Giulia GTA.
On the whole, the facelift follows the same scheme as with the standard Giulia and Stelvio. When those debuted, they landed with new LED Matrix lights and reshaped bumpers. The dashboard became virtual and a 12.3-inch central display was put inside the automaker’s signature pair of ‘wells’ in the middle. Finally, a new drive mode called Race was added.
