Media learned back in March this year that a restomod was underway based on the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA model. Now, Totem has shared some principal details regarding the project.
The car is called simply “GT Electric” and is coming out in a run of 20 units priced starting from €430,000. Every example will be deeply customized in accordance with the clients’ wishes.
The Totem GT Electric sports a carbon-fiber body with the doors available in aluminum, stainless steel and composite variants. The entirety of the lighting is LED-based.
The tuner used to say that the bottom-mounted traction battery would add 350 kg (770 lbs) to the curb weight, but it ended up being 20 kg (45 lbs) lighter than that. The electric powertrain is capable of 525 PS (518 hp / 386 kW) and 980 Nm (723 lb-ft) of torque. The restomod needs 3.4 seconds to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) and maxes out at 245 km/h (152 miles per hour). The driving range is estimated at 320 km (200 miles).
For its part, 2electron supplies the project with a custom, hand-made, 13-channel McFly audio system that will strive imitate the engine sound profile of the original Giulia GTA. Then again, customers will be able to use their own sound presets.
