The fastest Nürburgring crossover is announced

In the Nürburgring the races continue determining the fastest cars in their class. This time, the record has set the crossover Alfa Romeo Stelvio in the Quadrifoglio modification. He was able to drive the notorious "North Loop" in just 7 minutes and 51.7 seconds, which is the highest among the standard off-road cars. By the way, the record Quadrifoglio almost for a minute broke the result of the previous record holder Range Rover Sport SVR.

Speaking about the features of Quadrifoglio, it became the first crossover Alfa Romeo, introduced almost a year ago. The car received a 2.9 liter turbocharged engine and four-wheel drive transmission, which can redistribute the torque between the rear and front wheels in the event of an overload. The sports engine Stelvio is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

By the way, the basis for Stelvio was the architecture used to create the Giulia sedan. The design of the front suspension uses double wishbones, and at the rear - a multi-link solution.
