The recently introduced Alfa Romeo Tonale is the Italian manufacturer’s first electrified SUV, but it will not be the last. Speaking with Automotive News Europe, the company CEO Jean-Philippe Imparato revealed plans to launch another, fully electric car.
According to him, the model may be called “Brennero” and marketed a step below the Tonale. It should reach the market in 2024 and come in a variety of drivetrains, from all-electric to ICE.
Imparato also pointed out that Alfa Romeo intended to produce five new models in order to compete successfully. This includes the Tonale, the Brennero, replacements for the Giulia and Stelvio, and a mysterious fifth car that is still in its early conceptualization stage.
