Alfa Romeo has recently done a lineup cleanup, officially getting rid of the Giulietta and 4C models to focus on the Giulia and Stelvio. However, the automaker’s biggest bet right now is the upcoming SUV, Tonale.
According to Autocar, the company plans to double its vehicle output by the end of 2023. Speaking in an interview with the publication, Alfa Romeo MD Damien Dally said the company was certain it could improve its financial successes by making its cars more appealing for the wider masses to buy. Thus, it plans on launching another crossover SUV in 2024 that is going to be smaller than the Tonale. Provisionally called the Brennero, it will offer a choice between traditional ICE engines and electric motors.
Facelifting the Giulia and the Stelvio is also high on the priority list. The next generation of the Giulia is expected to go all-electric with no other options. Finally, Alfa Romeo says there will be a time and a place for exclusive limited-run sports cars worth around £500,000.
