13-year-old Alpina B3 convertible goes on sale with low mileage

An open-top, single-owner 2008 Alpina B3 with barely more than 11,000 km (6,835 miles) on the clock is available for buying in Russia at ₽5.5 million, or a touch under $77,000 USD.

The car is finished Bordeaux Red and has a familiar Alpina kit on, including a spoiler, a body kit, and wheels. The interior comes trimmed in two colors of leather adorned with the tuner’s embroidery. The steering wheel also has an Alpina logo on it, there is a modern dashboard with a blue backdrop, and a plaque stating the authenticity of the build.

A 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six engine under the hood links to a six-speed automatic transmission and drives the rear wheels with 360 PS (355 hp / 265 kW). The standard sprint lasts five seconds, and the top speed lies as high as 280 km/h (174 mph).

For the asking price of $76,835 USD, you can just about buy a new М440i xDrive in Russia. That one costs only $4,500 USD more and features AWD, 387 PS (382 hp / 285 kW) straight from the factory, and the ability to sprint from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.9 seconds.
