The BMW specialists over at Alpina have shared two images of their next project under the Bavarian company’s leadership. The details aren’t there yet, but one can always speculate.
The photos show the engine bay of an unknown car and a twin tailpipe finisher. The lettering “Biturbo” is partially visible in the former, and a fragment of a rear diffuser can be discerned in the latter.
If we had to guess, we’d say Alpina is working on a hardcore B3 GT model based on the BMW 3-Series (see video). It could follow the same modification route as the tuner’s 5-Series sedan and wagon in early 2023. Back then, there was every indication that the car had more than 500 PS (493 hp / 368 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque at its disposal.
Earlier rumors said the premiere would take place before the end of summer. Since Alpina has already begun its teaser campaign, we are going to assume that it will happen much sooner than that.
