Nicole Automobiles, an importer of Alpina cars in Japan, ordered four exclusive B4 Gran Coupe vehicles shipped to the country, two with the wheel on the right-hand side and the other two with the wheel on the left.
The LHD duo came finished in a vivid shade known as Fire Orange, accented by the gold of 20-spoke Alpina Classic wheels. The RHD pair came painted in black with matching black wheels. Both had Alpina’s signature blue brake calipers.
The black cars – officially called the B4 Gran Coupe Nicole Bespoke Japan Special Edition – received a trim in leather, Alcantara and precious wood inserts with orange accents for contrast. Heated sport seats, a powered sunroof and velour floor mats were also included in the spec.
The original Alpina B4 Gran Coupe (see video) debuted in March 20222 as a substitute-of-sorts to the BMW M4 liftback, which never came out. It received a boost to its 3.0-liter inline-six engine to 495 PS (488 hp / 364 kW) and 730 Nm (538 lb-ft) of torque. An eight-speed A/T carried the momentum to all four wheels. The Buchloe HQ also made suspension and steering tweaks and installed a new front splitter along with a rear spoiler. In this guise, the M4 needs 3.7 seconds to sprint to 100 km/h (62 mph) and can ultimately reach 301 km/h (187 mph).
