The Alpina B6 2.7 that is available for purchase in Germany right now belongs to a series of 67 units built based on the BMW 3-Series chassis and much of the Alpina B6 3.5 tech. It is number 39 in the batch, has 170,000 km (105,600 miles) on the odo and goes for just €65,000.
The seller provides several real photos of the car, including some interior shots, an engine bay shot and close-ups of the dashboard and the number plaque. Exterior photos are sourced from a different website. The state of the car is being described as ‘fantastic’ despite the mileage.
The Alpina B6 2.7 emerged based on the units and components of the BMW E30 325i and was similar technically to the B6 3.5 that came before it. The company gave the old model a six-cylinder engine with 261 PS (257 hp / 192 kW), but swapped that one out for a smaller and eco-friendlier 2.7-liter mill for Japan, where the larger one was not allowed.
The car on sale has 210 PS (207 hp / 154 kW), a 40-PS (40-hp / 30-kW) bump over the original BMW. It features a dry sump, a performance exhaust system and a five-speed manual transmission with revised gear ratios.
