A German company offers one out of 577 total produced Alpina B9 sedans for sale with 132,700 km (82,456 miles) under its belt, but in exceptionally well-kept condition.
Alpina based the B9 on the BMW 5 Series (E28), landing its 3.5-liter inline-six engine with a number of performance parts. New cylinder heads, pistons and ECU let the mill churn out around 245 PS (242 hp / 180 kW) to a five-speed manual gearbox, getting the car 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 6.7 seconds.
Other notable features included custom 16-inch wheels, Bilstein shocks, upgraded brakes, the addition of a differential, new bumpers, velour-wrapped seats in signature Alpina colors, a Momo steering wheel, a restyled gear lever, and powered windows/mirrors/sunroof.
According to the seller, the car has been maintained with utmost care, resulting in its body, cabin and engine bay looking almost new despite coming out in 1983. Its original buyer paid 57,000 Deutschmark for it back in the time, including 6,000 DM in custom options, but later sold it into Japan. Its latest owner imported it into the UK four years ago and wants £29,995 for it.
