Not that long ago, niche carmaker Alpine decided it was time for a change of vision and proclaimed itself an EV manufacturer. It announced a trio of electric models including an SUV called the GT X-Over, which apparently features in these spy photos made in Sweden.
The new CMF-EV chassis hides under previous-generation Dacia Duster bodywork (see video), making the vehicle a test mule by definition. It also suggests that work has only just begun on the car, which is officially set to debut in 2025.
Alpine says production will take place at its factory in Dieppe, France. In addition to the GT X-Over, it will be introducing an electric sports car co-designed with Lotus, which is destined to replace the current A110 model. The third and final newcomer will be a compact hatchback.
