CEO of Groupe Renault came out with a statement concerning the future of Alpine. Contrary to the latest rumors, there are no intentions to kill off the French car marque.
Instead, Renault plans to use it as a dedicated badge for its performance cars, such as the Clio and the Captur. This lands Alpine with several life goals: representing the Groupe Renault in the Formula One championship; giving its name to high-end Renault-made sports cars; and producing its own vehicles, something the marque is still entitled to, apparently.
Right now, the A110 Coupe depicted in our gallery and the video is the only Alpine on the market, being produced in Dieppe, France.
