Govplanet will hold an auction on January 26 to sell a custom AM General M36A3 army truck remodeled into a home on wheels. The starting price is $40,000 USD.
Nothing has changed in the exterior, while the interior has received an extensive overhaul with red wood, cypress, birch and fir used for the furniture and the finish.
Feature-wise, the motorhome offers a kitchenette with a sink, a fridge and a microwave oven, a dining room with a table, and two bunk beds. Oddly enough, there is a toilet standing in full sight next to one of the beds. A shower cabin is also present, and is luckily partitioned off, unlike the WC.
The clear water tank on board holds up to 455 liters (120 U.S. gallons) of water, which may seem like an overkill until you remember that the car has 1,000+ km (620+ miles) of driving range. Something like a deck is arranged in the back to let you sit there, relax and enjoy the wild.
Watch the video to see just how well the military-spec M36A3 performs off the trodden path.
