Nobody doubted the grandiose nature of the idea - to
create the first ever crossover car that can compete with such innovations as
Bentley Bentayga, Lamborghini Urus, Porsche Cayenne and Maserati Levante. And
the first review and the subsequent test drive should take place in a couple of
years.
Yesterday, Aston Martin's management confirmed the
concept design of its first crossover.
Recall that the prototype of this model, dubbed DBX,
was presented in the spring of 2015 during the Geneva Motor Show. The new
variant differs from the previous one by the presence of four, instead of two,
doors.
According to the first version of the body project, it
was assumed that the serial DBX will be built on the basis of Mercedes-Benz.
However, the British later abandoned the idea of cooperation with the Daimler
concern by creating their own individual body variant.
According to preliminary data, the car will be
equipped with a four-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 500 horsepower. The
maximum configuration of the crossover will receive a variant of a 5.2-liter
engine with two turbines, and a 600 horsepower capacity.
