Aston Martin has published a video showing the prototype version of its first SUV being driven across the snowy expanses of Sweden. The car will enter production in the village of St. Athan (Wales, Great Britain).
While the original Aston Martin DBX Concept that debuted in 2015 had two doors, its production version will sport four. Once out in the market, the car will mainly have to compete against the Maserati Levante, the Lamborghini Urus, the Porsche Cayenne and the Bentley Bentayga.
In its standard trim, the SUV will ship with a 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 rated at around 600 hp (450 kW). The top trim version will take advantage of a 5.2-liter V12 engine churning out ca. 750 hp (560 kW).
Aston Martin should officially introduce its DBX SUV to the public in late 2019, with production scheduled for 2020.
