RML Group unveils world's only street-legal Aston Martin Vulcan

Many car lovers would probably kill for an opportunity to drive the resplendent Aston Martin Vulcan, whether on a circuit or a public highway. The racecar came out in a series of 24 and had a U.S. $2,000,000 price tag. Recently, RML Group has completed building what it called the world’s first road-going Vulcan.

Meet the ‘civilian’ Aston Martin Vulcan Bomber, which sports headlights, taillights and windshield wipers along with washers. Note that the front splitter now sits higher up than before, mostly because it would otherwise be destroyed by the first slight road bump.

Powering the car is the standard 7.0-liter V12 monster engine rated at 820 horsepower (611 kilowatts). The tuner adds a new exhaust system with the required air filters, softens the suspension and introduces some major transmission tweaks. The latter includes a new clutch and gear ratios more suited for everyday road use.

The vehicle comes wrapped in a mossy green / sky blue camo wrap. A similar livery used to adorn Avro Vulcan bomber jets that served in the British Royal Air Force from the 1950s through 1980s.

The custom Aston Martin Vulcan Bomber will take part in the upcoming Gumball 3000 rally event.
