Aston Martin has officially confirmed the rumors that its upcoming mid-engine supercar, previously only known as the AM-RB 003, will debut as the Valhalla. In Norse mythology, Valhalla is a paradise realm, an enormous hall for valiant warriors who perished in battle.
Aston Martin advertises the Valhalla as a more practical alternative to the Valkyrie for daily driving purposes. The vehicle features a carbon-fiber monocoque cabin, a Nexcel lubrication system, active suspension, a hybrid powertrain based on a turbocharged V6, and a full-fledged trunk compartment.
As far as the aerodynamics is concerned, the car sports an active rear wing with built-in actuators that can alter its shape to better suit the current needs.
The Valhalla will emerge in a limited series of just 500 units, with first cars reaching their owners in 2021.
