According to multiple media sources, Aston Martin is preparing to announce a two-seat, open-top speedster reminiscent of the Le Mans-winning 1959 DBR1 Concept.
Allegedly, the development team makes every effort to style the new vehicle in the same vein as its ancestor, while at the same time equipping it with modern tech.
The car will have the same layout as the DBR1, meaning front-engine, rear-wheel-drive, the sources claim.
It is reported that Aston Martin decided to release a spiritual successor of the DBR1 due to the high interest demonstrated by multiple collectors. The sports car series will most likely be limited to 88 copies.
