The British supercar maker has collaborated with Girard-Perregaux to design the ‘Tourbillon with Three Flying Bridges Aston Martin Edition’, an exclusive wristwatch coming in 18 total units.
Prices remain undiscussed, but you can buy a Tourbillon series wristwatch from Girard-Perregaux starting from U.S. $153,000. The designers drew their inspiration from Aston Martin racecars of the past, endowing each watch with a two sheets of sapphire glass for a clear overview of the mechanism inside. The gears themselves benefit from transparent mounting points, making them appear hovering in the air.
The carriage consists of 79 parts weighing only one-fourth of a gram in total. The micro-rotor comes made of white gold, while the hands glow blue in the dark thanks to a special solution applied to them.
Other luxury car brands have been known to produce similar watches as well, examples including Bugatti and McLaren.
