Aston Martin plans to resurrect the Lagonda luxury car marque before 2021. The first member of the family is going to be an all-electric sedan to rival the Rolls-Royce Phantom.
According to a representative of the company, the new marque will deliver ultra-modern road vehicles that would combine the latest in technology with high-yield electric powertrains.
Following the market release of the Lagonda sedan, the company will introduce another new car, this time a crossover.
The original Lagonda Vision Concept debuted at the Geneva International Motor Show in March 2018. The prototype vehicle came equipped with a large traction battery and could reportedly travel up to 640 kilometers (400 miles) on a single charge.
Earlier rumors insisted that Aston Martin wanted to release an all-electric variant of its DBX crossover, but company’s CEO Andy Palmer put those rumors to rest. He said the engine palette of the new off-roader would be limited to gasoline and hybrid units.
