Hexagon Classics, a company dealing in classical and retro cars, has announced sales of an Aston Martin Volante Zagato convertible made in 1988. The open-top sport car costs U.S. $500,000.
A total of 37 such vehicles were produced, but this particular copy belongs to an even more limited right-hand drive series of just 12 cars.
The vehicle utilizes the 1969 Aston Martin V8 chassis along with its stock 5.3L, 420hp / 313kW engine boosted to 482 hp / 360 kW.
The red convertible used to belong to British actor, comedian, script writer and producer Rowen Atkinson. Mr. Bean even participated in several amateur races with it. He sold his ride for U.S. 160,000 in 2008; its current owner believes it is worth half a million.
