1 of 6 track-tuned Aston Martin DB4 goes on sale

A 1960 Aston Martin DB4 will soon go under the hammer expected to fetch a small fortune thanks to being one out of only six such cars tuned to a spec known as GT Lightweight.

Compared to stock, the retro coupe sports a shortened wheelbase and weighs less. Its 3.7-liter inline six-cylinder engine had two spark plugs per cylinder and produced over 300 horsepower (225+ kW). It needed around six seconds to go from zero to 96.6 km/h (60 mph).

This particular car was originally purchased for the Equipe Endeavour Racing team. It scored victories at various racing events of 1960, some of them thanks to being piloted by the legendary Stirling Moss. It then went through several celebrity owners who took care to keep it in superb condition. It is now being offered for purchase in a fully maintained and track-ready condition.
