A spy video from the shooting set of the 25th instalment in the James Bond: 007 franchise has recently been uploaded online, featuring a couple of Jaguar XF chasing an Aston Martin DB5 replica along paved town streets in southern Italy.
According to the witnesses, the filming crew spilled Coca-Cola on the pavement to create a cinematic drifting effect. Once the shooting was finished, they rinsed the street with water.
The vintage-looking DB5 starring in the movie is actually a well-made replica of the classical car, since its real counterparts cost around one million USD nowadays. A total of eight such replicas were created for the movie, two of them serving as camera cars.
As for the superspy himself, he will be driving exclusively Aston Martins in his 25th appearance on the big screen. All other cars, including the newest Jaguar XF and the Land Rover Defender, will have to make do with secondary roles.
