R-Reforged will adapt Aston Martin replicas for common roads

R-Reforged, Aston Martin’s long-standing partner specializing in limited editions of exotic cars, has developed a certification program to make such cars drivable on common roads. The company has already converted seven DB4 GT vehicles, making over 60 major modifications in the process.

The issue with most ‘revived’ R-Reforged vehicles is that they are not street-legal in Europe due to the strict environmental protection standards. This is exactly what the firm is going to address now. It is being reported that building a single road-approved DB4 GT Continuation takes over two months.

The full scope of changes is quite extensive, but if we were to name just the highlights, it would be removing all dangerously sharp edges from the body, removing anti-fog lamps, encasing the roll cage in leather, and swapping the dashboard and steering wheel out for road-friendly counterparts. In turn, the engine receives new fuel and exhaust systems along with revised software.
