This Aston Martin DB9 Volante by Mansory looks almost too subtle

Connoisseurs of Aston Martin luxury vehicles commonly prefer elegance and understatement to gaudiness and excess, so they seldom go to tuners like Mansory. Surprisingly enough, this tuned example proves that the German company knows a thing or two about being subtle.

The DB9 Volante rolled off the lines 13 long years ago, but it barely has 20,000 miles (32,000 km) on the clock. Among its distinguishing features are aftermarket side skirts, reshaped bumpers, a different trunk lid, and 20-inch Mansory wheels. The suspension is 25 mm (1”) lower than stock, and the soft top received some repairs this summer.

Inside the luxury convertible are seats wrapped in tan leather and carbon-fiber moldings on the center console and door cards. The equipment list mentions a Lynn audio system and an antiradar device.

Powering the bespoke DB9 is its usual 5.9-liter V12 worth 456 PS (450 hp / 335 kW) and 570 Nm (420 lb-ft) of torque. A six-speed auto gearbox is charged with delivering the thrust to the asphalt, and a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) typically lasts 4.9 seconds.

So, how do you like this Aston? Is it a Mansory vehicle?
