Aston Martin DBS Superleggera fantasizes about being a Concord

Aston Martin has dedicated its next special edition of the DBS Superleggera coupe to the centennial anniversary of British Airways and the 50 years since the first flight of the legendary Concord jet.

The reveal date is also nothing if accidental, set to coincide with 16 years since the last flight of the Concord. The production run will be kept down to just 10 units painted in the traditional British Airways colors (this even includes the Aston Martin badge). The front fender air louvers boast plane-shaped inserts, and there are Concord outlines on the roof, too.

The cabin uses the same color scheme as the abovementioned airline, the backs of the seats have Concord logos embroidered on them, and the driver’s sun visor sports the caption, ‘Mach 2.04 Feet 60 000’, which refers to the cruise speed and altitude of the famous airliner. The paddle shifter underneath the wheel is made of aircraft-grade titanium, and every car comes adorned by autographs of AM CEO Andy Palmer and British Airways CEO Alex Cruz.

The ultra-deluxe Aston Martin DBS Superleggera series comes powered by the standard 5.2-liter V12 engine rated at 720 hp (530 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque, and sprints 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.4 seconds.
