Hardcore Superleggera AMR may be real

Aston Martin, an English manufacturer of prestigious sport vehicles, considers releasing a hardcore variant of its DBS Superleggera coupe. If the project gets greenlit, the new supercar will be even stronger and lighter than the main Superleggera series.

“We have already released the AMR variant of our Rapide, Vantage and DB11, so the next one may well be the DBS Superleggera AMR,” a senior manager of the company said in an interview. He added that the vehicle had originally been designed with a performance version in mind.

Rumor has it that the DBS Superleggera AMR gets upgraded suspension, lots of carbon parts and a 12-cylinder engine boosted to 760 hp / 567 kW. The regular Superleggera ships with a 725 hp / 541 kW strong engine that accelerates it 0-100 km/h (0-60 mph) in roughly 3.5 seconds.

Predicting the price would be difficult at this point.
