The upcoming Aston Martin DBX SUV has been spotted on public roads more than once, but this time around, the photographer has made a few pics of its interior.
Many bits, including the instrument panel, the center console and the door cards, remain concealed behind black plastic sheets, but the rest of the cabin gives off an unmistakable Mercedes-Benz vibe. More than for anything else, this is true for the steering wheel, the climate control interface and the infotainment display.
Aston Martin’s new SUV also comes powered by a Mercedes engine, specifically the 4.0-liter AMG V8 unit linked to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Later on, the car will become available in hybrid and 5.2-liter V12 versions.
The first tests of the Aston Martin DBX began last fall, and it made a trip beyond the Arctic Circle this spring to test the performance of all units and components at extremely low temperatures.
The premiere is expected before the end of the current year.
