DMC Tuning had had only one DBX in its portfolio until recently, but things will soon change with the arrival of a large-scale tuning program including a body kit and a power upgrade to 808 metric horsepower.
Starting next year, owners of the luxury SUV with the trident badge will be able to order a full body kit molded from carbon fiber with a dry prepreg. The parts include aerodynamic nose extensions, a roof spoiler, a tailgate spoiler, and a rear diffuser. Everything will be available in gloss and matte finishes.
The arches stay standard width, which keeps the design of the SUV recognizable. Installed inside are 24-inch forged Pur Wheels finished in matte black, although you are free to pick from a list of dozens of finishes.
The twin-turbo V8 gets a comprehensive upgrade that lets it hit the transmission with 808 PS (797 hp / 594 kW) and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque. The stock crossover can do only 550 PS (542 hp / 404 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft). Replaced components include the turbos, the air filter, the ECU and the entire exhaust system. As a result, sprint time goes down from 4.5 seconds to just 3.8 and top speed rises to 328 km/h (204 mph).
Rounding off the list is an exclusive interior overhaul with fine Italian leather, carbon fiber and natural wood. The styling kit only exists in virtual 3D renderings so far, but production is starting next year, so pre-order soon if you are interested.
