Lagonda, a sub-brand of the luxury car manufacturer Aston Martin, will henceforth be dedicated exclusively to the production of all-electric cars, a source close to the management of the latter company claims.
The first all-electric vehicle by Lagonda will be a crossover scheduled for 2021. It will be followed by a production car based on the Lagonda Vision Concept a couple years later. The manufacturer claims that it is working on a battery technology which would allow a driving range of up to 650 kilometers until empty.
The luxurious Lagonda Taraf sedan is the only vehicle of this brand currently on the market. It comes equipped with an immensely powerful 5.9-liter V12 engine which can accelerate it 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in mere 4.4 seconds. Each Lagonda Taraf costs a million U.S. dollars to buy.
