Aston Martin has posted some early images showing company’s first-ever all-electric crossover SUV it hopes to bring out by 2021. According to an earlier announcement, the vehicle will be named Lagonda.
Its prototype is the Lagonda Vision Concept which debuted at the Geneva International Motor Show earlier in 2018. Once out, it is going to face competition from Bentley Bentayga and Rolls-Royce Cullinan.
As far as official statements go, all we know to this date is that the all-electric Lagonda will get an all-wheel-drive and both the exterior design and the interior trimming described as ‘exceptionally luxurious’. One could remember that the Lagonda Vision Concept also featured novelty seats that could turn 180 degrees and an electrically-assisted steering wheel that could be rearranged to the right or to the left side of the vehicle.
The concept car also had advanced autopilot tech installed, that reportedly made the driver virtually redundant. Any or all of these features may make it into series – after all, each copy of the Aston Martin Lagonda is going to be assembled by hand, so why not?
