Shortly after announcing the final edition of the Vantage supercar with a V12 under the hood, Aston Martin let us listen to this engine and catch a glimpse of the rear end with a wing in a short teaser video.
Rumor has it that the final V12 Vantage will get the ‘RX’ suffix like its predecessor did in 2008. It will allegedly aim for the same market niche as the Porsche 911 Turbo S. Recent spy shots suggest that it will also be getting a number of other exterior revisions in order to distance itself from the standard Vantage model.
It is expected that the final edition will come powered by the same 5.2-liter twelve-banger as the Speedster. The latter has 700 PS (690 hp / 515 kW) and 753 Nm (555 lb-ft) at its disposal, which enables it to sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.4 seconds.
The premiere will take place in early 2022.
