V12-powered Aston Martin Vantage RS spied at the ‘Ring

Aston Martin announced the final V12 Vantage edition not long ago, and now, the car has been spotted testing on the Nürburgring.

As we now know, the final Vantage wears an ‘RS’ badge and looks slightly different from the production model. This includes air intakes at the sides of the hood cover and additional air vents in the front bumper for brake cooling. The rear end sports fender flares that increase the overall width of the car. The rear wing shown on an early teaser image is conspicuously lacking, however.

We would not be surprised if Aston Martin decided to put its own 5.2-liter twin-turbo V10 under the hood of the V12 Vantage RS. The same block is used in the DB11, where it produces 640 PS (631 hp / 471 kW) and the DBS, where it makes 725 PS (715 hp / 533 kW).

Moving forward, both the Vantage and the DB11 will be replaced by all-electric cars. Both are expected to debut in 2025.
