Aston Martin has revealed the final production version of its much-anticipated DBS GT Zagato supercar. The luxury coupe celebrates 100 years of the coachbuilder firm Zagato and only sells in the same bundle as the DB4 GT Zagato Continuation, a replica of its 1960s namesake. The supercar duo costs £6,000,000.
The opulent Aston Martin DBS GT Zagato makes use of the Superleggera chassis, but isn’t quite identical to that model. For instance, it boasts a new ‘dynamic’ front grille adorned with numerous carbon fiber inserts that begin to move as soon as the engine starts. It also sports a solid carbon roof without an opening for the rear window. Aston Martin addresses the limited visibility issue by adding a ‘digital rear view mirror’ to the cockpit, which essentially transmits image from a rear-mounted video camera.
The supercar comes powered by a 5.2-liter turbocharged V12 engine good for 725 hp (540 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque. The regular DBS Superleggera needs 3.4 seconds to sprint from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) packing the same engine, so we can expect the Zagato version to be about as quick.
