Aston Martin revealed its Valhalla Concept in 2019, but the change of leadership and ownership of the company saw the project re-conceptualized a few times – here’s the result.
As some of you remember, the original design study had a V6-based hybrid powertrain. The final version ditches the V6 in favor of a 4.0-liter V8 driving the rear wheels with 750 PS (740 hp / 552 kW). Dual electric motors mounted one per axle assist it with another 204 PS (201 hp / 150 kW). The total output thus amounts to 950 PS (937 hp / 700 kW) and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque. An eight-speed DCT sends the momentum to the wheels, and the all-electric range is as low as 15 kilometers.
The Valhalla zaps from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 2.5 seconds and proceeds to accelerate until 330 km/h (205 mph). It is also said to complete a North Loop lap in 6 minutes 30 seconds, which sounds like it could become a new world record when the car ships.
The equipment list mentions LED Matric headlights, two-zone-adjustable HVAC, adaptive cruise control, and a large scope of electronic assists.
